3LPE/3LPP A A A

Anticorrosive three-layer polyethylene/polypropylene coating according to ISO 21809-1:2011

Anticorrosive coating PE/PP according to ISO 21809-1 is composed of:

  1. epoxy layer of the minimum thickness of 125 µm
  2. copolymer layer of the minimum thickness of 150 µm
  3. polyethylene or polypropylene layer of the minimum thickness of 1.8 mm to 4.7 mm

Depending on the material used as the third layer (polyethylene or polypropylene), the coating is divided into layer thickness classes: A, B, C, which are marked 1-3, depending on the layer thickness.

The total required thickness may be reduced by a maximum of 10% on joint seam for SAW pipes.
Class 1 and 2 for light and medium applications (sandy soil).
Class 3 – application in difficult circumstances (rocky soil) or underwater.
